Do I need to book?
It’s safer, especially at weekends: call us on +33 2 61 91 24 07.
How much should I budget?
Allow €70 to €100 a head, with a glass of wine. Weekday lunch is lighter, with its set menu.
Can I bring the kids?
Please do: we have high chairs, and the kitchen is happy to serve a half portion of chicken and purée.
Is there anything without meat?
Yes: the velouté, the girolles, the mushroom ravioles and pappardelle, the spinach tart, the cheeses and every sweet tart. For a vegan meal, let us know when you book.
What about allergies?
Allergen information for every dish is available. Tell us about any allergy when you book and the kitchen will plan for it.
How do I get there, and where do I park?
We’re just north of Chinon among the vines, five minutes by car from the station. Park in the courtyard, in front of the house.
Can we eat in the garden?
On fine days we lay a few tables under the trees. Ask for one when you book.
When are the music Sundays?
The first Sunday of the month, May to September, at lunch. Dates go up on our Instagram, @lafenaison.chinon.
Are dogs welcome?
Yes, if they’re calm and on a lead; just tell us when you book.
How can I pay?
By card or in cash.
Can we come as a group?
Yes: the long table seats up to fourteen, and the whole house can open for you. See the Groups page.
What are your hours?
Wednesday to Saturday, lunch and dinner; Sunday, lunch only. We’re closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Do you offer wine pairings?
Yes: the Fenaison menu comes with a glass chosen for each course, from our limestone cellar. For the à la carte menu, ask us at the table.
Can I give a meal as a gift?
Yes, with a gift voucher for the Fenaison menu, for two or for a whole table. Ask for one by phone or e-mail and we’ll post it the same day.
Do you do takeaway?
No, we only serve at the table.
